I have been a Collaborative Pianist in High School District 211 (Conant and Hoffman Estates High Schools) since 1992, and continue to accompany in District 303 (St. Charles) as well as for NICNATS, ILMEA, IGSMA, and IHSA competitions, and for various choral festivals, in addition to church choirs. My strengths are in my ability to interpret and perform a wide variety of styles (classical, Broadway, jazz, pop, ethnic, etc.) at a high level, my sightreading (whether it be a formal score or a lead sheet), and in my ability to elevate the overall performance of the soloist or ensemble that I am accompanying. I also specialize in providing recorded accompaniments for college auditions, live performance tracks, web site content, etc.
My educational background is a Bachelor of Music degree from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, with additional graduate work at Concordia College (River Forest, IL) and Roosevelt University (Chicago). My teachers have included Dr. Stephen Widenhofer, Dr. David Schrader, and Professor Bruce Gibbons. Finally, I am equally at home accompanying on piano, organ, or an electronic keyboard.
