Michael Wynne is a rising star among classical musicians. Born in Warrington into a musical family, Michael started his music studies aged 4, and later, at Bolton School for Boys, with Michael Pain and Roger Fisher, going on to be Organ scholar of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral where he studied with Professor Ian Tracey. Further organ studies continued at the Royal Academy of Music with David Titterington and Patrick Russill and conducting with Fraser Goulding and Vernon Hanley.
Michael has played in masterclasses with Jacques van Oortmerssen, David Briggs, Oliver Latry and Naji Hakim, and held further posts at Manchester and Leeds Cathedrals. Michael currently works for Ampleforth Abbey as Director of Music at St. Mary's Priory, Warrington, and is Assistant Musical Director to Swansea City Opera. He is also accompanist to Manchester Philharmonic Choir and King Edward's Society, Macclesfield, as well as pursuing a busy solo career.
He is a keen exponent of Baroque and early music, is a frequent continuo player and also regularly performs new compositions. He is currently working on three new operas for Sawn Off Opera in Manchester.
Michael has played at many major venues in the UK, and an increasing number in Europe. He works regularly with the Manchester Concert Orchestra, Skipton Camerata and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and has recorded for BBC radio, television and GMR.

Michael is available for instrumental/vocal exams from beginner to advanced level. A level / degree performances and vocal coaching.
