Nick Petrillo is a multi-keyboardist, accompanist and music director currently residing in Los Angeles, California. He was trained classically for the first 13 years of his life, attending pre-college at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. Over the years, Nick has incorporated many of the contemporary sounds in his playing, having a unique style in the vein of Rock, Pop, Jazz, Classical, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Soul. During the span of Nick's career, he has played at such venues as Gillette Stadium, Bar Harbor Jazz Festival, Glenwood Springs Summer of Jazz, Boston's House of Blues, and Shanghai Jazz Club. Nick recently graduated Berklee College of Music with a dual major in Contemporary Writing/Production and Film Scoring.
In early 2010, Nick had the privilege of sharing the stage at the Berklee Performance Center with Ben E. King and in May 2011, played keyboard alongside the legendary Michael McDonald at Boston University's Agganis Arena.
As an accompanist, Nick has been working with vocalists and instrumentalists alike, starting his career as a staff accompanist at Raritan Music Center for six years, where he played for vocal and instrumental lessons, recitals and competitions. Upon attending Berklee, Nick was a staff accompanist in Berklee's Vocal Department, where he played for labs, vocal ensembles, musical theater, recitals, juries and outside shows. Nick is an excellent sight-reader of classical, jazz and contemporary styles and always puts the soloist first in all situations.
