Ramon Davis

Ramon has been a piano accompanist for over 20 years and graduated in 2006 from the University of Southampton with a 1st Class BA degree in Music, where his speciality was the accompaniment of popular artists and instruments in a wide variety of genres.

Ramon has worked as band director/accompanists for gospel and popular music choirs across the South-East and has worked in a number of band pits for musical theatre productions. He is also an able musical director, having led a number of productions such as 'Little Shop of Horrors' and 'Beauty and the Beast'. He has also accompanied a number of solo artists and small groups and is an experienced vocal accompanist.

As a musician with perfect pitch and the ability to transpose by ear, Ramon has the flexibility to change songs to suit the vocal range of any singer without the need for transcriptions of music to be reproduced. He is widely recognised for his utmost sensitivity in his performance and his ability to get on well with the people he is working with.

Ramon is also a Director of Music in a secondary school by day and has enhanced DBS clearance (September 2022), and is therefore unable to undertake any accompaniment services for ABRSM exams during the school day.

Ramon is able to travel across Surrey, Berkshire, London and Hampshire (prior to sufficient notice)

Fees

£ 35.00 Pounds Per Hour
Fees are exclusive of travel expenses. Petrol expenses are calculated at 40p per mile. Coach/rail/air travel is charged at face value. Please make contact regarding fees for exam accompaniment.
