I currently play piano and sing/entertain the folks in about a dozen local convalescent/retirement homes.
Several of these I have been performing at for over 30 years.
More than just sing and play the songs, I talk about them of their origins and histories as a musicologist.
The folks get to hear complete lyrics that they had not heard before.
The folks learn new things about the songs, their "old friends" as some have said.
My repertoire includes songs of the American Songbook and from stage musicals.

Fees

I am a Musicians Union (Local 6) and can do union scale, or free-lance on a sliding scale and/or be open to negotiation.
