Biography
Sammy is a student at the University of Bristol, holding the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship in Music for piano. She has experience as an accompanist to both instrumentalists and vocalists in exams, recitals, and concerts, particularly for Bristol University Music Society.
With a particular interest in vocal accompaniment, Sammy has recently held an all-lieder concert with baritone Benjamin O'Riordan in Brentwood Cathedral, featuring songs by Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms.
As a soloist, Sammy made her debut performance of Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto in 2023 in Brentwood Cathedral, with Brentwood School's Symphony Orchestra. She has also competed on the international stage, gaining second prize at the inaugural Costa Festa International Piano Competition in L’Alfàs del Pi, Spain in 2019, and was an Elena Cobb Star prizewinner at the Clavis International Piano Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2018, allowing her to perform in the White Hall of Sheremetev Palace.
