Sandy Amanda obtained her BMus Degree (Honours) with First Class at NAFA in collaboration with RCM under the tutelage and guidance from Mrs. Rena Phua. Being awarded NAFA scholarship for diploma studies and received Leong Yoon Pin Scholarship in Bachelor program. She was one of the four pianists chosen by Steinway Gallery Singapore to perform in their event, the Rising Stars Concert in 2012.
Began to play piano by ear when she was 3 under her mothers training and went for more serious learning with Mrs. Vania Liu, Mrs. Ivy Leo, and Mrs. Lisi Julianto in Medan before moving to Singapore.
The Rhythm M.P. Malaysia awarded her The Most Outstanding Performer in the Jazz Piano Festival in 2004. She was chosen to perform Mozart Piano Concerto no. 14 in the open rehearsal with NAFA Strings Ensemble under the baton of Mr. Volker Hartung in 2010. In 2011, she was being invited with scholarship to attend the music camp at Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy in Hungary, Budapest.
Not only solo performances, she is also active in chamber music and piano accompaniments.
