A life intertwined with music, my journey started in Yamaha at a young age whilst managing ABRSM graded examinations. With the completion of the Teachers Grade 5 examination and also at the same time completing the ABRSM piano examinations allowed me to be familiar with the Suzuki Method and the vastly popular ABRSM examination scheme. After completing my Diploma in ATCL, I started teaching in a local music school for a total of 3 years before advancing further at the University of Melbourne and graduating with Bachelor in Music (Distinction). In this 3 years of advancement, I have done piano duets and also accompaniments for different instruments and vocals thus finessing my ability to work with other musicians. My expertise in sight reading allows me to manage multiple music tasks and led to success in execution.
As such, I am exposed to different teaching techniques and learning methods and thus am able to suit the different types of learning abilities. I am passionate about teaching students the proper fundamentals, different techniques in regards to playing, how to approach and understand a piece of music to allow better execution for a piece. Have successfully transformed previously struggling students and have a 100% grade 8 passing rate.
