Korean pianist Sooji Kim has abundant experiences in collaborating with other musicians internationally in Korea, China, Germany, Belgium, Holland, and United States. Sooji has served as a pianist with numerous musicians including Missouri Fine Arts Academy in Ballet and Modern Dance, University Singers Choir at University of Northern Colorado, National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), Missouri State Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Classica Europa in Germany.
As a collaborative pianist, she has rehearsed a number of operas including Die Zaubeflöte, Aída, Der Freischütz, as well as contemporary works The Mother of Us All. Sooji also premiered a new opera The Taming by Paul Elwood in 2019.
Sooji has received assistantship in accompanying at Missouri State University while she was attaining her Master of Music degree, and Doctoral of Arts degree at University of Northern Colorado. Her teachers include Dr. Lei Weng, Dr. Willem van Schalkwyk, Dr. Justin Krawitz, Dr. Edward Rothmel, and Dr. Hye-Jung Hong.
