Stella Hsu has a versatile musical background, with numerous performances as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborative pianist.
Started her piano training at the age of four, Ms. Hsu received her doctoral with honor and master degree in piano performance from the University of Kansas, under the tutelage of Prof. Sequeira Costa and Prof. Jack Winerock.
She then broadened her repertoire by earning a master degree in collaborative piano from the University of California at Santa Barbara, studying with the Grammy nominated collaborative pianist- Robert Koenig. During this time, she coached chamber music and accompanying class. Besides working with the instrumentalists, she also played for the vocal lessons and opera productions. In 2009, she was selected as a Collaborative Piano Fellow for the Music Academy of the West music festival, where she worked with Jonathan Feldman and Jean Barr.
As a piano collaborator, Ms. Hsu has performed in the class of some of today's top pedagogues and artists, including Midori, Zvi Zeitling, Kathleen Winkler, Helen Callus, Paul Neubauer and Wu Han of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Warren Jones, Anne Epperson, Tokyo Quartet, and Miro Quartet, among others.
