Tia Wood is an accompanist, private piano instructor, and classical/jazz event musician in the DC/Northern VA area. She is a graduate of Grove City College with a major in Music/Business and a piano concentration. Tia has accompanied instrumentalists and vocalists for 4 years, played graduation and dinner party gigs for 5 years, and taught piano lessons for the past 8 years.

Tia served as the Vice President and Treasurer of her college Chamber & Symphonic Orchestra and interned at the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra over the summer. She was a Music Department Staff Assistant, planning recitals and collaborating with faculty to improve the music department.

Currently, in addition to gigging solo, Tia enjoys playing keyboard with other musicians. She has played in multiple coffeehouses over the past few years, has collaborated with lyricists, and has played keyboard in her church band for 8 years.
