Tracy Figard began violin studies at the age of three, piano at age 9, viola at age 14, and organ in 2003. She has also studied harp, and harpsichord. She is a graduate from Northwestern with a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance and Historic Keyboard and a Master’s degree in Viola Performance. During her time at Northwestern, Tracy held positions as concertmaster in the Northwestern University Chamber Orchestra and the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra. She has studied violin and viola with Roland and Almita Vamos, piano with Emilio del Rosario and organ with Margaret Kemper.

Tracy has been a prizewinner in numerous competitions including the Chicago/North Shore chapter of the American Guild of Organists competition and as a collaborative pianist Tracy won the Skowronski Team Competition for Violin and Piano as the pianist with her sister on the violin. Tracy has performed as violin soloist with the Peninsula Music Festival, the North Suburban Symphony, the Waukegan Symphony Orchestra, the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra, and the Lake Forest Symphony. She has also played violin with the Dempster Street Pro Musica and Fifth House Ensemble

At the age of fifteen Tracy was the youngest accompanist to be part of a winning performance in the international competition, the Holland-American Music Society accompanying her sister Kristin. As a result Tracy is featured with her sister on their first CD produced by the Holland America Music Society. As a sought after collaborative pianist Tracy has performed with various instruments including viola, violin, cello, bass, saxophone, flute, oboist, horn, trumpet, singers, and percussion. She has performed as pianist with her sister on the ‘Live from Studio One’, the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series both broadcast live on WFMT, the Music in the Loft concert series, the Arlington Heights Library, the Argonne National Laboratory young artists series, and the Green Lake Festival of Music. . Tracy has been the pianist for the Chicago Master Singers since 2007.

Fees

$ 40.00 Dollars Per Hour
Base fee is $40 per hour for rehearsals, $20 per half hour - (within 30 minutes of Wilmette, IL - for further distances please contact me directly about my rates.)
Recital fee is negotiable depending on number of rehearsals and accompanying services needed.
