Hello :)

My name is Vaana and I am a pianist and classical soprano. ✨

I graduated in 2023 with two bachelor degrees in piano and voice from the University of Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.

In addition to regular performances and engagements, I currently provide piano accompaniment services to instrumentalists and vocalists.

I have years of experience working with professional orchestras and ensembles. As a piano accompanist, I have worked for operatic productions such as The Magic Flute, I Pagliacci, Cosi Fan Tutte and most recently New Opera Singapore’s production of Rusalka.

Vocal repertoire is my specialty in accompaniment, as I can immediately adapt to a singer’s wants and needs due to the fact that I am a singer myself.

In addition, people engage me for any last-minute auditions, recordings or performances due to my quick ability to grasp new music.

I also have ample experience playing for ABRSM exam recordings.

Biography: Born in 2000, Vaana developed a passion for music at a young age and began playing the piano at four years old. She also took up violin, flute and classical voice lessons. At ages thirteen and fifteen, Vaana received two piano performance diplomas, DipABRSM and LRSM from ABRSM with distinction honours. She is the first prize winner in the senior category of Yamaha Piano Competition Singapore in 2011, finalist in the National Piano and Violin Competition Singapore in 2011, as well as silver medalist in the Asian Chopin Competition held in Tokyo, Japan in 2013. In 2017, Vaana is one of the piano winners of the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition held online. She is very thankful to the teachers that have taught her well, among them Prof. Cordelia Höfer-Teutsch and Clarence Lee Zheng Le.
As a classical singer, Vaana has studied with great sopranos such as Prof. Barbara Bonney and Prof. Michele Crider. She recently performed in a student production of The Magic Flute by W.A Mozart as Erste Dame.
