Wade Meyers has been performing locally and abroad since 2004. Recent performances include collaborative recitals with members of the National Symphony Orchestra and faculty of the Peabody and Oberlin Conservatories, musical theater productions, as well as recitals with students from the doctoral to elementary school levels.
Mr. Meyers is a founding member of the new music ensemble Balance Campaign. At the conclusion of their 2017-18 concert season, they began an ongoing residency at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where they give concerts, student composer workshops, and readings of student compositions.
Wade is also the Director of Music and Worship Arts for Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church, one of the largest and most diverse music ministries in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He is also the choir teacher for Washington Christian Academy, where he directs the grades 3-12 choirs.
Previously, he served as music minister for St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and has played or directed for Holy Trinity Catholic Church D.C., Truro Anglican Church, and many others.I In musical theater, he has played for productions of The Fantasticks, Assassins, Little Shop of Horrors, Legally Blonde, School of Rock, Babes in Toyland, and others.
Wade earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance degree with Steinway Artist Michael Rickman. He also studied organ and harpsichord with Boyd Jones in his time there. He then attended George Mason University to study piano and chamber music with Anna Balakerskaia and graduate with a Master of Music in Piano Performance degree.
